I have been thinking about Megan's suggestion about picking the books earlier so we have more time to get a copy of the book possibly through the library (as much as my ever expanding library loves more books I prefer 'sharing'). So if a year out seems too far and un-spontaneous what if we just make the picks two months out. SO we pick at next months meeting the book that we'll read for October. Which means I would have suggested my picks for September at the last meeting... If you think we should do this then let me know and I will post the ideas on the site and at next month's meeting we can start picking the books two months out. If you think this idea is lame I won't be offended, I will just starting investing in additional bookshelves. =)

Being a devoted patron of the local library, I, for one, think this is a great idea.
Who is this Megan girl? She sounds really smart.
I think it is a good idea to do it just two months in advance. I vote yes. :)
Since we keep picking books I've already read and since I read so slow, yes I'd love to pick a couple months in advance so I can start working on September's book. (I am not reading Le Mis no mater waht Candi said.)
Me neither, at least, not until I have time to devote to the unabridged version. I think I refuse to ever read an unabridged book again.
